Assembled – Ready to Hang
These prints are 100% Acid and linguine free and with proper care these prints will not fade or yellow over the ages. Each print is printed on quality archival photo paper with archival inks. The print is them mounted with acid free foam board and museum quality mat. The print is then placed into a Acid free Clearbags for protection and has a hanger ready to hang. Each matted print is assembled and signed by the artist.
The Image
Archival Photo Paper
Each image is printed on matte Fuji Crystal Archive paper. This archival photo paper is the most common archival photo paper used in galleries today. This paper has been proven to be fade resistant for over 60 years in a home environment (half the day in the sun), and can last for twice as long if kept out of the sun. Also to make the image resist fade longer you can use a UV glass if you decide to have the image framed.
Archival Inks
The image is printed with an Archival ink that will prevent fading over time. Archival inks also stay fast on the Archival Paper prevent runs or blurring when it is humid. If kept out of the sun this ink should not fade for centuries.
The Archival Mat and Foam Board
Mat Board
Each image is framed by a window frame mat board. The mat board is 100% acid and linguine free, preventing yellowing on the image of the years. The mat board used is museum quality and is some of the highest qualities used today.
Foam Board
The foam board used is also 100% acid and Linguine free and unlike other foam board the core is also free of acids or linguine. This prevents yellowing of the image over the years. The foam board also provides protection from bending or folding of the image.
Display
Archival Bags
Once the image is mounted and matted, it is placed inside a Archival Clear Bag. The bag is acid free to prevent your image from yellowing. The bag is crystal clear insuring that you can see the image clearly and without distortion. The Protective Closure prevents the glue from coming in contact with any part of the print. The closure is also re-sealable and the adhesive strip is on the outside of the bag instead of on the flap.
Foam Hanger
Each print comes with a saw tooth hanger on the back of the print so you can hang the image as soon as you get home. No need to take the image out of the bag it will be ready to hang.
Information and Instructions
There will be an insert on the back of the print that provide information about the photo, the artist, and how to care for your print. There will also be instructions on how to frame your image without damaging it.
Signature
Each print is signed on the mat board by the artist. If you get a limited edition it will also be numbered on the front of the mat board. If you do not want the mat signed please include that information in the additional instructions at checkout.
